Houses are a free-lance company offering technical drawings for small works
planning applications. They also offer advice and direction to clients in
order for them to submit their own planning applications to their local planning
office.
One of their policies is to help develop and sustain local and national
charities, as a way of giving back to the communities they work in.
Designer Houses have teamed up with Second Chance and are offering that for
any client who use their services through Second Chance, the charity will
receive a 50% net profit share from that clients tender.

SCLOVES
We
are delighted to team up with the ‘Scloves’ company of partners Michael Gowdy
and Lucy Saunders.
They are producing a lovely item that is a cross between a set of gloves and a
scarf, hence ‘sclove’. It’s a delightfully simple idea that has a variety of
applications. In its full length it serves to keep your hands and neck warm with
no risk of losing the gloves. You can store things in the ‘pockets’ like a
phone or a wallet. In its shorter lengths it is an ideal holder for a walkman
or phone whilst still plugged into your ear. The uses and variations are
unlimited!
They can be produced in a variety of colours and they are currently working on
a ‘pompey blue’, hoping to sell to our local (to our head office) football team
supporters.
Michael and Lucy have agreed to give 50% of the profit of each sale to the
charity. That could be a great help towards reversing the current slump in
funding caused by the recession.

E & C EXPORT
We
are pleased to announce a new trading partnership with E & C Export Ltd, of
Dagenham, who operate a Cash for Clothes recycling scheme. We like their
approach to the scheme and it is different to some of the schemes in the
industry that have at times caused controversy. They have guaranteed a monthly
income to the charity and we have got off to a flying start.
