G.A.Y.EGIVE AS YOU EARN...
Does your company operate a Give As You Earn scheme enabling you to make tax-free donations to Second Chance?
Could you persuade them to start a scheme as an innovative way to support our charity?
WHAT IS G.A.Y.E?
This scheme is available to everyone paid by P.A.Y.E, including pensioners. Each employee can give up to a maximum of £1200 per year by regular deductions. These deductions are made out of gross pay before tax (but not before N.I. contributions) are deducted. Therefore every £1 donated has cost a basic rate tax payer only 75p. Put simply, for every £10 donated, you will pay £7.50 after tax relief. After administrative costs, Second Chance will receive £9.50.
WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
As an employee, you would be required to sign a pre-printed form (supplied by us) authorising the employer to make deductions from your wages, or salary. The payroll department would then be required to make the necessary deductions at source, on a monthly or weekly basis.
HOW DO SECOND CHANCE HELP?
We will offer full support and documentation to get your scheme off the ground. We will provide authorisation forms for your payroll department, plus posters and information leaflets for notice-boards and reception areas. Low-key discussions with various departments or formal meetings with full audio-visual will be at your disposal, if you so wish. Plus, to start the ball rolling, we will happily forward information packs and newsletters to interested companies, which will give them some insight into who we are and what we do, and may aid their decision to set up a G.A.Y.E. scheme.
We would be extremely pleased to have your support; so get those employers motivated, and start GIVING AS YOU EARN today!
